Girls Night Out

Last night I went out with some of my girlfriends. Several of these girls I have not seen in years! We all used to work together at a daycare here in Medina. I worked there while I was putting myself through my last two years of college. We all (but one) worked in the kidnergarten/after-school program. When we worked the summer camp we spent our days at the pool, bowling, or playing hide-n-seek tag at the playground. Those summers were a blast, got as tan as you possibly could, and just hung out. Plus we got paid to do things like play tag and Red Rover!

Amy and Diane

It was great to see all my girlfriends again and it was like we had never been apart! Here's some pictures from the night (they were all drinking, I was the DD):

Front: Jess, Columbia, Amy

I have also been able to get out and ride some more. It was a little cold the other day, but I have already been out today and hope to continue to do so this week.

And I have gotten some sewing done. I have been making blocks for what I hope to be my first Q4H quilt. I have had this fabric laying around for several years with no real purpose for it so I am making it into blocks. They are all kinda funky and I am just going with whatever works at the time. Kinda Improv....

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Sounds like you and your friends had a great time. Happy to hear there was a DD.

I love the colors in the quilt blocks.........I am a white cottom underwear person in a beige house but man I do love colors like that. Looking forward to seeing the finished results. Funky is fun!

Nice Blocks!

Mmm, Girls night! Looks like you all had a lot of fun. I have a Girls night coming up this Saturday, can't wait. It so refreshes your well-being when you get to chat, chow down and drink with "The Girls".

Aren't girly nights the best, especially when you share them with people who share a common link? I love those evenings of good food, good company and lots of catching up.

Love those blocks Sara. I'm really starting to loosen up in my "old age". I'm starting to collect funky fabrics as well. Don't know what I'm going to do with them yet but when the moment strikes, I'll have them!

Looks like you ladies had a wonderful time! I have been to Medina many times. My ex-BIL lived outside of Orrville so we would visit them a lot!

Love those blocks! Can't wait to see more of them!

Looks like you all had LOADS of fun! I love girls nights out!

I'm loving the quilt blocks. (You already know I can't sew.) I often find myself shying away from quilts, because alot of time they're so country. You know? People pick the cutesy, country fabric, and that just doesn't do it for me. But this fabric is AWESOME. It's like quilting meets the Mod Squad. I love it!

I love your quilt blocks Sara! I'm normally very traditional when it comes to quilts and fabrics but I've found myself drawn lately to the more wilder and brighter prints! Well, sometimes! :0)

I love the colors in your blocks. I, too, have been drawn to some brighter fabrics with a texture print...it is cool for a change.
I'm trying to figure out which restaurant you were at, but can't see enough of the decor!!

Love the blocks Sara. I like the idea of a churn dash for the other fabrics. I am drawn to all sorts of quilts, but my favorites are the simple ones.
