Close-up of three
And I had to change one of my books for my Book Awards Challenge because I can't find the book by William Faulkner that I had picked. So I put the Oscar Wao book on hold at the library. I should have it by the weekend. I am reading a book by Jonathan Kellerman right now, Obsession, that is okay. Its not stellar, but its good.
And I almost have the lego xbox game beat. I am not sure how long it will take me to finish it up, but I am sure I will get it done soon! Then what? I will have to find a new game! LOL!
Not much else happening. Riding and trying to find a job still. I keep looking, but so far not much. Hopefully soon!
Have a great monday night!

Butterflies or monkey wrench, I think
I am reading the Oscar Wao book - or at least I was until another book arrived from the libray and since I own Oscar, I have put it aside for a day or two.
As to patterns, I love churn dash and monkey wrech.
Love those fabrics! I keep thinking about a black and white quilt with a pop of color but like you, I'm not sure the pattern. I think all the designs in the fabrics scare me.
Right now my friend Lisa and I are starting a Churn Dash/Hole In The Barn Door quilt. We were trying to decide between that or the Cardtrick. She picked the hole in the barn door. I always love those classic patterns. I am doing mine out of my scrap basket and she is using 30's fabrics.

Gee, I wish I could help you Sara but I don't know most blocks by name. Jane gave us a couple of sites to visit with a whole slew of blocks and instructions and that's where I chose my block for the Rainbow Swap. If you'd like the links, let me know and I'll send you the links.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
These are really, really interesting fabrics. I love the first close up of three. I see lots of these fabrics in the newer big block type quilts like bento box and such. They really display the interesting modern fabrics well. A churn dash with all the black and whites in the blocks and the blue squares and stripe as sashing, posts, and/or borders would look good too I think. But pretty as these are they are out of my comfort zone so what do I know? I will be anxious to see what you do. I look forward to seeing your progress.
I like the quilt that was seen on Crazy Mom Quilts - all zippered up.
